Specialty: Dr. Buchanan was born in Wichita, Kansas and grew up in Fort Worth. He graduated from University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and went on to receive his PhD in cell biology from the University of Texas Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Dallas. He attended Medical School at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He completed his internship & residency at Parkland Memorial in Dallas. Dr Buchanan and his wife, Deena have two daughters and a son. Outside of medicine Dr. Buchanan enjoys music, chess, golf and astronomy. | |

She completed one year internship and two years of residency in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston Texas. He received his undergraduate education at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana prior to attending medical school at Tulane University Medical School in New Orleans. He completed a rotating internship at Dallas Methodist Hospital after serving in the U.S. Air Force, completed a three year residency at Dallas St. Paul and Parkland Hospital. He had been in a solo practice since 1972 prior to joining our group in 1995. Dr.Tafel also is a Aviation Medical Examiner, performing FAA physicals.
